Adopting a Healthy Living Lifestyle is essential to our overall wellbeing. Oftentimes, attention is not applied to a Healthy Lifestyle until we become sick and are forced to acknowledge the importance of it.
Today, there are thousands of toxins in our environment that we are exposed to, we are becoming bigger, sicker, and weaker. There are toxins every where, in our cars, in our homes, in the air, and there are chemicals in our food and our water. How much do you think your body can take before your start to feel the impact from the overload? We are living in a sick, mentally ill society; and it’s on us to fix ourselves, no one is coming to save us.
A healthy lifestyle can influence the decisions we make, whether or not we have energy for the things that enjoy, it can make a difference in the relationships we have with ourselves, our partners, and our children. Our state of health is a reflection of what is now happening on our planet.
Our demand for materials and food produced with toxic byproducts maintains the toxic cycle. We can be a part of the problem without being fully aware of it. Therefore, it is my mission to do my part by bringing awareness to the importance of Healthy Living and also provide simple, practical solutions, to support you on your journey.
What is Healthy Living?
Healthy Habits, Healthy Living is designed for anyone who’s looking to transition to living a healthier lifestyle. From a high level, healthy living is comprised of how you Live, Eat, and Think, with lifestyle functions that fall underneath these tiers. My goal is to help you move from point A to B in your journey, making it a fun and intuitive experience. A foundation to healthy living consists of the following.
- Healthy Nutrition and hydration (foundation)
- Exercise and proper movement
- Rest / Reflection
- Mindset
- Relationships and Social Interaction
- Emotional intelligence
- Laughter and play
- Reduce your toxic load

When starting out, it is recommended that you incorporate 1 or 2 lifestyle changes at a time to keep from becoming overwhelmed. Generally, one healthy action leads to the other. You will pivot when the time is right for you!

Healthy Living is a lot of work:
We can look at this in many ways, however, choosing to look at it in an empowered way will serve you best. You are either becoming healthier or you are not. We’re exposed to way too many toxins to be living life the way we were a year ago. So, you must take responsibility for yourself, get creative and align yourself with Healthy Living habits which will prove to be priceless.
“It’s going to cost too much”:
Wouldn’t you agree that it’s way more expensive to be sick? There are many options to choose from today, once you align yourself with the process, you’ll find that most of your previous perceptions will become obsolete.
“I just can start right now- I don’t have the time to invest”
When will be the right time? You’re already living a lifestyle. The fact of the matter is you’re either living a conscious or unconscious lifestyle. If you don’t make your health a priority, it’ll never happen. The beauty is you get to choose!
“People in my house aren’t ready”
No one’s energy is greater than yours- Spearhead your home. Everyone will benefit in the long term. Stay on course, get creative, and lead by example. Generally, when the results are shown the family will follow.
Believe me, your mind will try to win the battle and keep you “safe” and comfortable right where you are. It is important to recognize this trap. You’re here reading this post because you want to change directions, you know internally what you need to do. That is your internal guidance directing you. A large part of your journey will be harnessing your intuition, you already have the answers inside of you, you know what to do and how to do it, sometimes we just need a little boost, and that’s where I fit into your life.:-)

What do you need to get started?
To get started with a Healthy Living Lifestyle it is important to first align your mind and spirit with the process. For example, immerse yourself with the resources from this healthy living blog, join a Healthy Living FB group, watch videos/films and read materials aligned with your goals. I think it is also important to meditate, pray, and talk about your health goals.
Another important step is to write your goals down and a plan of action to take over the next several weeks. Because Healthy Living encompasses many disciplines, it’s important to know where you want to start.
For example. Would you like to start with cleaning up your diet, establishing an exercise routine, reduce toxins in your environment, establish a better relationship with yourself, your children, or others? These are questions you’ll want to take the time to get clear on. What are you most drawn to? You should start where you are at.
To make the process fun and personable. Do it old school style and get yourself a binder, pen, and paper, and start writing- and continue to write along your journey

- Decide where you want to start and WHY.
- Set a goal to commit to your Healthy Living habits for 2 weeks, 4, or 6 weeks.
- Stay engaged and track your progress week over week.
- Be open to changes, have fun with it, and be patient with yourself.
- Write a declaration to self, sign, and date it.
- Reward yourself- for example, if your goal is to exercise more, reward yourself by buying a new pair of running shoes, tracksuit, yoga pants, or an elegant water bottle.:-)
- Be Still- sitting down and mentally going through these points are important. The deeper you allow yourself to go the clearer you’ll become, making it much easier to accomplish your Healthy Living goals.
There will be obstacles to sidetrack you. Journal them and make a plan to overcome it.
